At the 2013 Marlow Town Regatta and Festival, Longridge Canoe Club challenged Marlow Rowing Club to a friendly race: a K4 (4-man) canoe, with Olympic class paddlers against a rowing quad (4-man) sculling boat. Congratulations to the boys in the junior quad (Josh Kent, Charlie Simon, Sholto Carnegie and Harry Glenister), who after an impressive surge from behind overtook Sir William Borlase school to reverse last year's Henley outcome and win the Fawley at Henley Royal Regatta. Congratulations too to the coaches Carrie Collerton and Ray Bedder.

Of the win, Rowing Voice said: "That Fawley final was an absolute blinder. Amazing surge by Marlow, nearly unbelievable".
