Henley Masters RegattaThere were four Marlow wins at Henley Masters Regatta on Saturday (7th July). B8, WB4+, WA2x, WB1x. Click on the picture for photos, and read below for more details. 

joomplu:1704Congratulations to the JM 4x which made it to the finals of the Fawley Challenge Cup. It was an all Marlow final - their opposition was Sir William Borlase's School. Photos of their performance are available in the Gallery - click on the picture. The crew is (Bow->Stroke) Harry Glenister, Josh Kent, Seb Devereux and Chalie Simon. The coach is Russ Peacock. 

Marlow Rowing Club's reputation for producing outstanding Junior athletes was further enhanced over the weekend; International trials were held at Boston, Lincolnshire by British Rowing for junior athletes aspiring to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Junior World and European Championships. Only 2 weeks after the fire that as destroyed part of Marlow Rowing Club crews were out and racing at Maidenhead Regatta on Saturday - winning 10 races and taking the prize for the most successful club. A big thank you must go to Maidenhead Rowing Club who lent a number of boats to Marlow to enable some of crews to race.  

The club has a very successful weekend at the British Championships in Nottingham. The action started with the junior events on Friday and rolled on until Sunday afternoon with 18 crews competing in total.

Four scullers from Marlow Rowing Club won their event at the annual Junior 16 Great Britain v France International Rowing Match held in London’s Docklands on Sunday 10thJuly.

The premier junior event of the year saw two medals a piece for Marlow junior boys and girls in blustery conditions at the national watersports centre in Nottingham.
