A belated congratulations to Nick Crease and Stuart Heap who won silver and fastest club plaque in LM2x at the National Championships in July.

Nick Crease and Stuart Heap rowing in LM2xCongratulations (a little late) to Nick Crease and Stuart Heap who came second in LM2x at the National Championships on 18th/19th July; and to Kiri Smith, Jo McGregor, Tilda Horne and Nathalie Bream (Ely), who took Bronze in the WJ18 Quad.

In addition to their silver medal, Nick and Stuart were the fastest club crew in the event, so got one of the blue plaques. This is the first time a senior mens crew from the club has won one of these for 12 years so a great achievement!

The men won their heat with the fastest time in both heats and went straight to the final, where they came second to last year's winners - one of whom was Mikey Mottram (who will be well known to club members, having spent most of his successful junior career with Marlow).

Stuart assists Russell with junior squad coaching and Nick was a junior at the club until last year and has since been at uni.  So while they may not be familiar faces at squad training sessions, they're both established Marlow members.

The Womens' Quad was selected to represent England at the Home Countries International at Nottingham the following week, where they won Silver.

Marlow's Alice Denyer represented Wales in the sa,me International.

Receiving their medalsCongratulations again and the editor's apologies to them for not announcing their result sooner!
