MRC clubhouse

Marlow Rowing Club has a long and distinguished history dating back to its foundation in 1871. With a state-of-the art clubhouse that opened in 2015, a large and well-maintained fleet, and a spacious well-equipped gym, the club is now home to more than 500 members. We are very proud that amongst our members we have many Olympians including Sir Steve Redgrave (our President) and Dame Katherine Grainger.

Whether you have yet to learn to row, are an Elite rower or anywhere in between, Marlow Rowing Club has a squad for you. And you can be assured to be given a friendly welcome. Please take a look at Squads and Options for further details.

The Club also has a reputation as one of the top clubs in the country for Paralympics Rowing.
Marlow Rowing Club organises two regattas each year – Marlow Spring and Marlow Town, and makes a major contribution to the running of a number of other events. Please see the Rowing Events section for more information.

Every year our members compete across the complete range of events, from local friendly regattas, to World-Class international competitions. On average, we achieve between 80 to 140 wins a year, which puts us in the top 3 clubs in the country.

Finally we have a members’ bar, which is the hub for many social events and post-rowing refreshment, and which probably has the best view of any Rowing Club bar in the country.
