Eat... Sleep... Row... Repeat ...
Over the Easter break, Marlow Rowing Club coaches, boats and juniors all decamped to France for a training camp in Mimizan.
It was the first time both boys and girls squads have done their pre-season regatta training together.
Over 60 Juniors Took Part
In preparation, training was full-on with three sessions a day and breakfast at 7am. This wasn't a holiday! There was plenty of seat racing and work on improving that all-important technique.
The juniors had a gruelling five to six hours training daily which was great for bonding with team mates. Plenty of fun was had too, with two trips to the beach which culminated in Head Coach Bret being thrown into the sea! (Waiting on a photograph of this one - can anyone assist?)
Mind you, with public exams looming in the summer, the juniors also got down to some serious revision too. Time in the evenings not being spent revising was spent playing football, cards or just chilling.
All set for a great season ahead!
